Sixth Floor Selborne Wentworth Chambers is a pre-eminent barristers’ chambers located in the Sydney Law Courts precinct. With over 50 barristers, 16 of whom are Senior Counsel, the Sixth Floor has a unique breadth of experience across a wide range of practice areas. Our members are recognised leaders and experts in commercial law, public law, crime, inquiry work, and mediation and arbitration, as well as in class actions, competition law, taxation and planning and environment. Our ethos is progressive, with a strong commitment to gender equality and cultural diversity at the Bar.
The Sixth Floor has had an impressive record of judicial appointments over many years, including two former Chief Justices of New South Wales (the Hon Jim Spigelman AC KC and the Hon Tom Bathurst AC KC). Former floor members also include the Chief Justice of the ACT Supreme Court, the Hon. Lucy McCallum, Justices Payne, Mitchelmore and Stern of the New South Wales Court of Appeal, Justices Nixon and Hmelnitsky of the Supreme Court, Justices Perry and Halley of the Federal Court, and Judge Whitford SC and Judge Wass SC of the District Court.
