The Simple Different Company is a pioneer of easy website creation with a special focus on global equity and mobile-first innovation. Founded in 2009 and based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, we created the world's first full-featured website builder for mobile devices, making a web presence accessible for users worldwide.
Our flagship product SimDif, along with FreeSite and YorName, has been downloaded by over 4M users across 150+ countries. We're distinctive in three key areas:
- True cross-device compatibility: Identical features and user experience on phones and computers across our web app, iOS app and Android app.
- Global accessibility: Support for 30+ languages with an emphasis on underrepresented ones. Our in-house localization software, BabelDif, made us pioneer of app localization.
- Economic inclusion: Industry-first implementation of Purchasing Power Parity pricing via our FairDif index
Beyond the basics of website building, we're advancing ethical and human-in-the-loop AI integration through Kai, our AI assistant.
In early 2025 we're launching our Multilingual Sites feature - creating probably the easiest available way to build a true multilingual website.
Our roadmap for 2025 includes a new Pro+ plan, our first tier aimed at professionals making client websites. We'll also be expanding our ecosystem with specialized website builders for blogging, musicians and venues, and we'll be bringing our FairDif PPP API and BabelDif localization platform to market.
