Our business was born out of a necessity to take the stress out of bookkeeping for small businesses and tradies Australia-wide. While some may describe it as a “lengthy” or “tedious task”, we are passionate about the detective work that is bookkeeping, and love creating that extra time for busy individuals to spend more time doing what they love – whether it be at home or in their business.

Shoebox Books was founded in 2007 by Yvette Coad and Sandie Menzies, who collectively have over 25 years’ experience in bookkeeping. The business became a franchise in late 2012, when our founders started to consider the demands of stay-at-home mums, those seeking a career change and those looking for a flexible work schedule. Finding these needs in common, Sandie and Yvette wanted to grow Shoebox Books by sharing the work-life balance and flexibility they had originally created and tweaked in their bookkeeping business model. We now have franchise owners providing bookkeeping solutions in 50 locations around Australia.

This is a unique bookkeeping franchise system with low overheads, allowing you to have a satisfying career running a successful, flexible business. The Shoebox Books franchise continues to grow today, and we are always interested in hearing from motivated individuals who are looking to take their next step running a home-based business.
