SCAPE Public Art installs free-to-view contemporary public art in Ōtautahi Christchurch, engaging the community through exciting artwork, public programming, and inspiring arts education.
A charitable trust, SCAPE Public Art is the largest producer of new contemporary public artwork in Aotearoa New Zealand. These artworks provide a unique point of difference for the city.
SCAPE has three pillars of activity: producing permanent artworks as a legacy to the communities that host them; our annual curated season (festival) of temporary public art; inspiring art education for children and young people, especially those in disadvantaged communities.
SCAPE works through close collaboration between art and industry, a unique and highly regarded model worldwide.
Our vision is for people to be excited, engaged and stimulated by contemporary public art and for Ōtautahi Christchurch to be a city with a world-class collection of public art that is widely known and visited.
