Description
Save Vietnam's Wildlife (SVW) is a non-profit conservation organization in Vietnam established to carry out activities for wildlife and ecosystem conservation.
Since 2014, we have developed long-term conservation program. Most of our resources are spent working on the ground to save animals from illegal trade, protecting our recognised wildlife strongholds and continuing to monitor released individual and wild populations. There are 3 main fields we are working on: Species Conservation, Site Protection and Community Engagement.
Up to now, we have succesfully rescued 4.423 wildlife animals from more than 60 species, including more than 1.700 pangolins, and released 1.274 animals back to the wild. Besides, we collaborated with the forest rangers in 5 national parks and nature reserves in Vietnam to deploy forest protection patrols, successfully removed +24.000 animal traps, destroyed +1.000 illegal camps and supported to arrest more than 1.300 offenders. And there have been more than 40.000 local people, including children, people living in buffer zones of national parks and government officials, engaging in our awareness-raising activities.
