Terbentuk pada 20 Agustus 2010.

Bermula dari komunitas mahasiswa di Solo khususnya UNS yang bernama " MANGAN SOTO" yang artinya Mahasiswa Nang Solo sok Purwokerto.

Atas berbagai pertimbagan serta masukan, "MANGAN SOTO" berkembang mewadahi mahasiswa se-Banyumas dan sekitarnya yang berkuliah di Surakarta. Sehingga, "MANGAN SOTO" berubah menjadi "SATRIA SOLO".

"SATRIA SOLO" dipilih sebagai nama sekaligus memperkenalkan slogan dari Banyumas yaitu SATRIA.

SATRIA SOLO yang awalnya sebuah komunitas dengan tujuan mewadahi mahasiswa asal Banyumas ini, berkembang melakukan kegiatan Bakti Sosial dan Masyarakat.
