Description
The Singapore Association of Administrative Professionals [formerly known as Singapore Association of Personal & Executive Secretaries] was formed in 1971 under the patronage of the late Mr Elias Pereira, Director of Stamford College, who felt that an organisation was needed in Singapore to look into the needs and interests of the secretarial profession. An Inaugural Meeting was held on 15 May 1971 and the Association was registered on 30 October 1971.
The Association's name was changed in 2005 to reflect the changing role of secretaries that has evolved over the years with increased responsibility and authority in the key areas of administrative management.
The Singapore Association of Administrative Professionals (SAAP) is an non-profit professional body and serves as a platform for administrative professionals and secretaries to participate, contribute and learn from the various talks and activities organised. It is also an avenue for administrative professionals and secretaries to network, interact and relate their work experience with the peers.
SAAP works in partnership with employers and organisations to promote and enhance the skills of the administrative professionals and secretaries to position them in the context of modern management
