Description
The Royal Australian Regiment is STRONGER TOGETHER. We've brought The Regiment together and strengthened members past, present and future by providing over $1,000,000 in welfare grants and morale boosting programs. We are the ONLY charity exclusively supporting members of the Royal Australian Regiment. A dollar donated here ONLY goes to The Regiments members. Last year our support equated to $68 per member of The Regiment with $308,000 given to your Regiment.
We work with CO’s, RSM’s, padres and your community to help members in The Royal Australian Regiment and their families in need because The Regiment is stronger when we stand together. Our help is REAL and includes:
- grants (not loans) for emergency needs and recovery from natural disasters
- property replacement due to crime and many other reasons
- travel costs for members and/or their families to be reunited in emergencies or during tragedy
- medical costs and associated expenses such as accommodation, car hire and per diems for families with seriously immediate family member/s
- emergency childcare arrangements and costs
- financial assistance for those in extreme hardship
- and many other unusual scenarios where the member has no other alternative safety net.
Our esprit des corps help is HUGE. Last year battalions and SOI received over $80,000 in direct funding for esprit des corps activities which they nominated and we funded a further $190,000 for Regimental wide esprit des corp activities.
