Description

Relational Minds is a multidisciplinary child and youth mental health service — and a growing national movement — transforming how we support children by empowering the adults who care for them.

Founded by dual-trained psychiatrist and paediatrician Dr Alberto Veloso, Relational Minds is built on the belief that lasting change in children’s mental health begins with safe, confident, and connected adults. We work at the intersection of developmental psychiatry, trauma-informed care, and digital innovation — creating systems of care that are relationally attuned, scalable, and grounded in real-world connection.

Our team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, mental health clinicians, paediatricians, and support staff united by a shared vision: to build communities of relational safety around every child. We serve families across regional and metropolitan Victoria through our face-to-face clinics, telehealth services, and partnerships with schools, NDIS providers, and Aboriginal organisations.

We launched and are building the Relational Minds Parent Education Platform — an online ecosystem offering live groups, on-demand resources, coaching, and community — designed to bring evidence-based, emotionally attuned support directly to parents and carers. This platform is the digital expression of our mission: supporting the whole village around the child.

We are also leading innovation in AI-assisted workflows, service design, and staff development, including our Merchants of Hope training program — helping professionals grow in emotional attunement, leadership, and the customer journey.

When adults feel supported, children can thrive. That’s the future we’re building — one relationship at a time.
