Description
The Regional Hub for Asia Climate Change and Health (REACH) is a multi-institutional hub hosted by Monash University Malaysia, and in collaboration with the Sunway Centre for Planetary Health, Sunway University and Maldives National University.
Our REACH Hub is supported by the Advancing Research for Climate and Health (ARCH) initiative: a five-year global partnership between the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and Canada’s International Development Research Centre (IDRC).
As the only ARCH-designated hub for Asia, REACH joins a global network of regional hubs advancing research and solutions at the intersection of climate change and health.
The heart of our mandate is clear: to generate inclusive, evidence-based knowledge that drives policy, builds resilience, and transforms communities and healthcare systems across South and Southeast Asia.
Through a growing portfolio of sub-grantee-led research, regional deliberations, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building, REACH is co-producing a regional climate and health roadmap. We place a strong emphasis on Gender, Equity, and Inclusion (GEI), centring the needs of women, children, older adults, Indigenous communities, and other vulnerable groups.
