Description
The story of Ramble Tamble is one of people power. That’s right; you guys. The person who buys a ticket and takes a punt on seeing a band playing Creedence songs and if we get things right on the night, comes away from a show and maybe tells a few friends about it. That’s the way it’s always been for us. Ramble Tamble operates completely independently. We don’t work with any entertainment agents, we just find rooms to play in and sell tickets to our shows. Very simple.
We started back in June 1989, 35 years ago. Three of the founding members are still presently in the band today. And in that time, we have picked up quite a following of people, thousands in fact. And we’ve had the opportunity to play all over Australia. We have headlined outdoor concerts, played casinos, concert theatres, high profile prestige venues, and heaps of pubs. As a result, we’ve also managed to have sold out a lot of shows along the way.
We have never tried to pretend to be Creedence Clearwater Revival by putting on cheap wigs and speaking in fake American accents. I guess we have too much respect for CCR and their music for that. We are Ramble Tamble and we play CCR songs live. To be honest, I don’t even know if you could call us a tribute band. I would like to think it’s more a tribute in the true sense of the word, done with respect for die-hard CCR fans.
THE BAND
The band have had years of experience touring with some of the world’s top recording artists and tribute shows both nationally and internationally, respectively. Quite often playing original music, some of the members in Ramble Tamble are also recording artists in their own right. We are well-versed in Creedence Clearwater Revival’s music and perform it at a very high standard.
