Description
Radio Kampus ITB (RK ITB) berdiri pada tanggal 8 November 1999, didasari dari ide awal untuk membangun media informasi bagi Civitas Akademika. Ide ini diiinisiasi oleh mahasiswa Himpunan Mahasiswa Elektroteknik ITB (HME ITB) yang memiliki hobi mengotak-atik alat-alat elektronik berbasis radio.
Pada awalnya Radio Kampus ITB melakukan siaran melalui media internet. Pada 5 Juni 2000, Radio Kampus ITB berhasil mengudara melalu gelombang radio FM untuk pertama kalinya. Pada kala itu, radio kampus memiliki sebuah program Radio on Canteen, sehingga siaran Radio Kampus ITB dapat didengar secara live di Kantin Kokesma (Koperasi Kesejahteraan Mahasiswa) yang terletak di Campus Center.
Tahun 2004 lokasi studio Radio Kampus ITB dipindahkan ke Gedung Eks UPT Olah Raga, serta diadakan pemindahan frekuensi ke 107.7 FM. Radio Kampus ITB membentuk integrasi media dengan "Campus Channel" bersama ARC, GTV, LFM, Komindo KM, USDI yang telah mengadakan beberapa pelatihan dan workshop. Sampai saat ini Radio Kampus ITB terus melakukan siaran secara rutin melalui streaming dan pemancar.
