Description
Quit Tasmania, a program of Cancer Council Tasmania, provides information and smoking/vaping cessation support to individuals and service providers including health professionals and community service workers.
Quitline 13 7848, is a confidential telephone counselling service specialising in helping people to stop smoking/vaping. Our trained counsellors provide individualised support to people who smoke/vape, at any stage of their quitting journey. We provide practical tips and strategies, advise on how to use stop smoking medications correctly for best results and support people to build and maintain their confidence and motivation to quit.

Our Community Engagement program works with service providers, to build capacity to help them address smoking/vaping and build supportive smoke-free environments. We offer a free 3-hour smoking/vaping cessation training session – Supporting People to Stop Smoking & Vaping - to service providers.
