The journey of Qua began from a trip to Vietnam in 2002, where the founder Meng Yee was mesmerised by the high-quality craftsmanship of a particular workshop that she was at – whom we work closely with till date. Embracing the partnership and where the idea took root, the name “Qua” is inspired by an abbreviation of 'gifts' in Vietnamese. Qua was born from the desire to breathe meaning into gifting, and as a brand, it is synonymous with meticulous artistry which crafts distinctive lacquerware that lasts generations.
