Founded in 1984 as PT Jasa Angkasa Semesta Tbk, CAS Group began by providing ground handling and cargo handling services at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
In 2003, the Group expanded into Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) by establishing PT JAS Aero Engineering Services in partnership with Singapore Airlines Engineering Company (SIA-EC). A year later, JAS Airport Services was listed on the Surabaya Stock Exchange and partnered with SATS Ltd, enhancing its capabilities in aviation services.
In 2009, the holding company PT Cardig Aero Services Tbk (CAS Group) was formed, and in 2011, the company went public on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (CASS). That same year, the Group entered the institutional catering sector by acquiring PT Cardig Anugrah Sarana Catering, followed by the acquisition of PT Purantara Mitra Angkasa Dua in 2012, strengthening its inflight catering operations.
Today, CAS Group—now rebranded as PT Cahaya Aero Services Tbk—is a leading integrated aviation support services provider in Indonesia, with a focus on ground handling, cargo, MRO, and catering services, supported by strategic partnerships and a commitment to operational excellence.
