PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk is a prominent renewable energy provider company in Indonesia with a portfolio of two direct subsidiaries - PT Bangun Tirta Lestari and PT Energi Sakti Sentosa and two indirect subsidiaries - PT Nagata Dinamika Hidro Madong and PT Biomassa Energi Jaya, generating renewable energy to industries and homes in Indonesia.
We actively expand our business throughout the country. Kencana Energy operates PLTA Pakkat, a hydropower plant in North Sumatra run by PT Energi Sakti Sentosa, PLTA Air Putih in Bengkulu, which is run by PT Bangun Tirta Lestari, PLTM Ma’dong, a mini hydropower plant in North Toraja which is run by PT Nagata Dinamika Hidro Madong, and PLTBm Tempilang, biomass power plant in Bangka Belitung Islands which is run by PT Biomassa Energi Jaya. We are constructing PLTMH Ordi Hulu in North Sumatra which is run by PT Sumatera Energi Lestari and PLTS Tempilang, a solar energy power plant in Bangka Belitung Islands which is run by PT Kencana Energi Matahari. Kencana Energy will expand its business to various other locations in Sumatra and Sulawesi.
We were able to secure the much-coveted Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN). The PPA is fundamental to the business of Independent Power Producers (IPP). One of our key strengths is our experience in the field of renewable energy, supported by our strong financial profile, which results from a stable and secure income stream upon delivery of PPA with PLN.
Currently, we have entered 4 PPAs with PLN, of which 18 MW is undertaken by PT Energi Sakti Sentosa (ESS), 21 MW by PT Bangun Tirta Lestari (BTL), 10MW by PT Nagata Dinamika Hidro Madong and 5MW by PT Biomassa Energi Jaya.
