Perusahaan yang didirikan pada bulan November 1983 dengan nama PT. Dipo Star Leasing dan memulai kegiatannya pada bulan Mei 1984.
Dengan semakin berkembangnya bidang usaha, dimana tidak terfokus pada kegiatan Leasing saja, tetapi juga dalam bidang usaha Consumer Finance dan Factoring, maka pada bulan Juni 1989, PT. Dipo Star Leasing berubah nama menjadi PT. Dipo Star Finance dan kemudian pada tahun 1992 joint dengan Mitsubishi Corporation-Jepang, berubah statusnya dari perusahaan nasional menjadi perusahaan Joint Venture.
Dengan didukung oleh lebih dari 1.400 karyawan dari berbagai disiplin ilmu yang trampil serta berpengalaman dan dengan jaringan Kantor cabang serta Perwakilan yang tersebar di DKI Jakarta, Jawa, Sumatera dan Sulawesi, PT. Dipo Star Finance terus berkembang secara berarti dan mendapatkan kepercayaan dari masyarakat luas sejak awal berdirinya hingga saat ini.
