Dalam sejarah perkembangannya PD. BPR BANK JOMBANG telah mengalami beberapa perubahan, pada 31 Maret 1978 status perusahaan-perusahaan daerah milik pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Jombang diubah dengan keputusan Bupati nomor HK.OO3.2/09/1978 menjadi Dinas Perusahaan Daerah Kabupaten Dati II Jombang yang terdiri dari 4 (empat) unit yaitu: Unit Taman Rekreasi Tirta Wisata, Unit Saluran Air Minum, Unit Apotik Seger dan Unit Bank Pasar.
Pada 7 Nopember 1990 status perusahaan diubah menjadi Perusahaan Daerah Bank Pasar berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah nomor 4, tahun 1990. Pada tahun 1994 status perusahaan menjadi PD. BANK PASAR berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah nomor 26, tahun 1994.
Pada tahun 1998 perusahaan memperoleh ijin usaha menjadi BPR dengan nama PD. BPR BANK PASAR berdasarkan Keputusan Menteri Keunagan nomor: KEP-041/KM.17/1998. Pada 06 Nopember 2009 perusahaan berubah menjadi PD. BPR BANK JOMBANG berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah nomor: 17 tahun 2009.
