Biotest was founded in Bandung in 1980 by Madam Lelarati Lukman, who was inspired by the medical needs and condition of her beloved husband, Karmaka Surjaudaja. Karmaka at that time was suffering from Primary Biliary Cirrhosis which required him to regularly get medical checkups in labs which were still very limited at that time.
Currently, Biotest has 10 branches across Jakarta, Bandung, and Surabaya. Each branch was built based on the comprehensive offerings, and unparalleled service quality envisioned by Madam Lelarati. Biotest’s offerings also continue to grow based on international lab standards, with the company currently offering services in Hematology, Blood Chemistry, Immunology, Microbiology, Histopathology, and cytology. Additionally, Biotest also offers services in X-ray diagnostics, USG, ECG, Treadmill, Echocardiography, BMD, spirometry, and audiometry.
With the goal of providing a service quality of international standards, Biotest was given ISO certification in 2012 by a certification body from Australia and has also been certified by Indonesia’s National Accreditation Committee (KAN).
