In the year 1935, a Chinese medical shop by the name of Tay Ho Tong was opened in the busy area of north Jakarta, Indonesia. Selling imported raw herbs and other herbal medicines from around the world, and at the same time creating their own Traditional Chinese Medicine products.
As generations passed, Tay Ho Tong excelled and in the year of 1971, the shop transformed to become one of the first pharmaceutical company in Indonesia under the name of PT Bintang Kupu Kupu.
A company specialized in manufacturing herbal medicines under the brand of CAP KUPU which means "THE BUTTERFLY STAMP".
