First production title, “Posesif” (2017), directed by Edwin, marks their debut in feature film. It won 3 Citra Awards at Festival Film Indonesia in 2017, including Best Director, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor. “Posesif” positions Palari Films in the center of the Indonesian film industry, and Edwin as a critically acclaimed director for commercial films with a unique artistic quality. In the international market, “Posesif” was selected for Singapore International Film Festival 2017, Hong Kong International Film Festival 2018, Osaka Asian Film Festival 2018, and CinemAsia Film Festival 2018 in Amsterdam.
In 2018, Palari Films released Aruna & Lidahnya, a feature film by Edwin, adapted from the best-selling novel by Laksmi Pamuntjak and starring Dian Sastrowardoyo, Nicholas Saputra, Hannah Al Rashid, and Oka Antara. This film won two out of nine 2018 Indonesian Film Festival nominations including Nicholas Saputra for “Best Supporting Actor” and Titien Wattimena for “Best Adapted Screenplay”. Aruna dan Lidahnya was selected to be screened at the 69th Berlinale Film Festival 2019 as a part of the Culinary Cinema Programme. Palari Films strives to produce unique and highest of the quality, accessible yet substantial films, that appeal to both the Indonesian and international market.
