About Us Proteinz Online Store.
Proteinz is a 100% Natural Range developed by me - Jim Bedwell. I'm a former multi-sports athlete with a past passion for Hawaiian, Japanese and New Zealand ironman and Coast to Coast.
These days I'm more likely to be found in the backyard sparring with my martial artist son or running after my five year old daughter on her bike. Bustling family life and short weekly workouts have all the demands for a nutritious protein shake.
When I sold my last Protein brand and the last of our personal supplies finally ran out, we were a bit stuck to find a natural, tasty and affordable Protein supplement to take its place. So we developed Proteinz for our family and friends. Seeing the demand for this product we have now opened the Proteinz range up for direct sales at an affordable price to everyone.
Proteinz 'The Safe Choice' is a combination of 100% natural products and good safe manufacturing practices run as a family business.
I am involved in 2 businesses and live a busy life. A super protein shake every morning nourishes me throughout the day and keeps me trim.
HISTORY
In over 20 years Jim Bedwell has developed and manufactured three Protein brands; pioneered the use of stevia as sweetener in protein powders; and has written and published an industry top selling book - Food for Sport (2000).
Teaming up with New Zealand's top sport nutrition advisors. Jim developed, manufactured and implemented a three year programme for 250 Elite Athletes - the highly successful 2012 New Zealand Olympic team. He has also been involved in a number of University clinical supplementation trials.
Jim was asked by the Australian Institute of Sport's nutrition advisers to design the supplement range for the 2011 Australian Rugby World Cup team. In his time in the sports food industry Jim has worked with hundreds of New Zealand athletes including rowings Hamish Bond and Eric Murray when on their road to Olympic gold. Developing and producing products eaten by National level athletes who are periodically drug tested has always required a highly responsible approach. Safety has always been paramount in Jims ingredient selection and product development.
