Description

Post Datum is a student run art initiative with an exhibition and art events programme that provides opportunities for emerging career visual artists, particularly QUT Visual Arts students.

Post datum aims to provide an outlet for students wishing to engage with their own and other students practices at a critical level. Students seeking to display works in new places within a diverse, collaborative environment. Post datum desires to foster creative growth through strengthening relationships between artists, curators and industry professionals. But most of all, we desire to challenging how student art is viewed. We seek to provide a new platform for discussion.

We have a history spanning over 12 years. The original student guild art club Datum was formed in approximately 1998, then was changed to Post Datum in 2007. Since then the club has been running smoothly, and is kept fresh by a new influx of committee members changed on an annual basis.
