Description
The existence of Poltekbang Surabaya began with the utilization of the assets of the Regional Office III of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation Surabaya in 1989 under the name Surabaya Aviation Education and Training Center in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transportation No. 22 of 1989 concerning the Organization of the Surabaya Aviation Education and Training Center.
Based on the Decree of the Minister of Transportation, a joint flight education and training organization was formed apart from in Surabaya as well as in Medan, Palembang, Makassar and Jayapura, with the main task and function of organizing education and training, routine operations and building facilities and infrastructure.
In its development in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Transportation No. PM 32 of 2017 dated May 8, 2017 concerning the Organization and Work Procedure of the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic, our institution changed to the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic which has the main task of providing vocational education, research, and community service in the aviation sector.
