Politeknik Keselamatan Transportasi Jalan atau disingkat dengan PKTJ adalah perguruan tinggi kedinasan dimana sejak tahun 2018 telah membuka jalur Ikatan Dinas (Pola Pembibitan) dibawah pengawasan Badan Pengembangan SDM Perhubungan Kementrian Perhubungan. Lulusan jalur pola pembibitan pada perguruan tinggi ini akan ditempatkan pada satuan kerja Kementrian Perhubungan khususnya pada bidang Transportasi Darat dan lulusan Jalur Reguler/Mandiri diharapkan akan memenuhi kebutuhan SDM Transportasi pada BUMN/Perusahaan Swasta pada bidang Transportasi Darat.Perguruan tinggi ini didirikan pada 14 Mei 1971 dengan nama Balai Pendidikan dan Latihan Transportasi Jalan Raya atau disingkat dengan Balai Diklat Transjaya. PKTJ berlokasi di Kota Tegal, Jawa Tengah.
