Plympton International College is a unique coeducational learning community situated just 7km from the Adelaide CBD. We are a South Australian government school providing challenging, engaging and supportive learning programs for students from Reception to Year 12 on the one site. We take pride in supporting our students to achieve their full potential through a focus on high expectations, rigour, wellbeing and our values of Excellence, Innovation, Respect and Responsibility.
As the only Chinese bilingual college in South Australia, our students have the opportunity to become fluent in both English and Chinese language. We offer a specialist language program in Chinese which develops students’ language proficiency and intercultural understandings, preparing them to engage effectively in a globalised world.
We are a family oriented school, and as such, our unique environment allows for the development of strong relationships with all members of the school community. We attract enrolments from a wide catchment and proudly boast a student cohort with more than 40 nationalities represented.
Our college is structured around two sub schools: Primary, which caters for students from Reception to Year 6, and Secondary, for students from Year 7 to Year 12/13. These sub schools work collaboratively to support the development of strong relationships between students and staff, and to ensure that all educational and extra-curricular programs offered are provided in a seamless way. As an R-12 school, students from R-6 have access to specialist facilities and specialist teachers not usually available to them in a traditional primary school setting. Likewise, our Year 6 students are able to seamlessly graduate into the middle school as Year 7s to begin their secondary schooling.
Our secondary sector provides students with a broad, balanced and innovative curriculum with a focus on personalised learning which leads to more specialised pathways in the senior school. Studen
