Platinum Locating Services provides underground utility locating and asset protection services to Western Australia’s civil construction and resources industries.

We are a subsidiary of MME Underground Services, one of Perth’s most reputable directional drilling, excavation, and cable laying companies. Our relationship with MME means we have access to a support team with over 30 years’ experience in service location and trenchless technologies, and we enjoy flexible work crews and the ability to increase and decrease resources as required.

We operate under an Integrated Management System (IMS) fully accredited to ISO 9001:2015 for Quality, ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management and AS/NZS 4801:2001 and OHSAS 18001:2007 for Safety. We are a member of the National Utility Locating Contractors Association (NULCA) and we provide services in accordance with AS 5488:2013 Classification of Subsurface Utility Information.

Our team benefits from the insight and guidance of Kevin Moss, the founder of MME Underground Services (formerly Mossy’s Mini Excavations). Kevin is a certified trainer and assessor, and ensures all Platinum Locating Services employees are trained in the NULCA Locating Course. Our workforce includes highly skilled, safety trained, and experienced service locators, spotters, Western Power accredited 'Recipient In Charge supervisors, and ATCO Gas Australia accredited High-Pressure Gas Supervisors.

We have access to industry-leading equipment such as ground penetrating radars, cable detection equipment, core drills, fully equipped utility vehicles and vacuum trailers. We also have some of Perth’s only Vacuum trucks, meaning we can conduct larger excavations in a non-invasive manner.
