Picture Key Technologies represents an innovative and patented technology for creating dynamic but tactile user interfaces.
Using a single low-cost TFT display, we use precision bonded fibre-optics to bring mapped areas of a screen up into the body of transparent keys and controls giving the user the impression of having a screen inside each key. This provides high-resolution self-labelling buttons for very low cost, and as it’s a single display, it simplifies label programming.
The image is bright, has excellent off axis visibility and glare rejection. Also works well with e-paper for low power consumption requirements.
