Civil & Mining Earthworks Australia, CMEA, is the largest civil earthworks operator of its kind in the Southern hemisphere. CMEA is a part of the Dowd Group, a diverse and dynamic corporate group which has interests across the building and construction industry, property development, corporate advisory and capital raising, money lending and leveraged securities, franchising, technology and innovation and the professional services sector. The Dowd Group is privately owned and managed by an independent board of directors with the support of a dedicated corporate management team.
CMEA owns and operates the largest fleet of K-Tec Scraper and associated low compaction track and wheel power units in Australia and across the Asia-Pacific region. CMEA is a highly experienced industry leader which allows us to offer a whole-of-project delivery service, from initial project scoping and in-house engineering advisory through to execution and delivery of the final product. With expertise in delivering large-scale, environmentally sensitive and difficult projects, CMEA offers clients cost effective, on time project solutions not offered by other contractors.
We undertake earthmoving and mining projects for tier one contractors, mine owners and contracted operators, public and private land developers, farmers, environmental rehabilitation organisations and general private enterprise. We specialise in large scale bulk earthworks projects, remediation and rehabilitation projects, mine excavation and operational earthworks, agricultural developments and associated project works. Our success is based on partnering with our clients to ensure all stakeholders get the best possible outcome from the project and its broader objectives including relevant social and community initiatives.
