Description
Persatuan Aktuaris Indonesia disingkat PAI atau dalam bahasa Inggris disebut Society of Actuaries of Indonesia adalah organisasi nasional dari profesi aktuaris di Indonesia yang berdedikasi untuk memberikan pelayanan kepada publik umum dan anggotanya.
PAI didirikan pada tanggal 19 Oktober 1964 dengan jumlah 25 anggota pada saat itu. Selama bertahun-tahun, peraturan pemerintah mengenai industri asuransi dan dana pensiun yang memerlukan keahlian seorang FSAI telah berkontribusi pada pertumbuhan profesi aktuaris di Indonesia dan menghasilkan pengakuan pemerintah terhadap gelar Fellow of the Society of Actuaries of Indonesia (FSAI).
PAI mengeluarkan petunjuk Standar Praktek Aktuaria and Kode Etik Aktuaris yang berisi panduan praktek yang profesional dan standar kode etik yang harus dijalankan. Petunjuk ini membantu para anggota mengenai standar profesional yang dianggap wajar dilakukan dalam berbagai kesempatan yang mereka hadapi. PAI juga mengeluarkan petunjuk mengenai proses pendisiplinan anggota untuk memastikan kepatuhan pada praktek profesional dan standar kode etik para anggotanya.
PAI telah menjadi anggota penuh (full member) dari International Actuarial Association (IAA) sejak tahun 2007. Sebagai anggota organisasi internasional, PAI mewakili aktuaris-aktuaris Indonesia di kancah internasional dan bekerja sama dengan organisasi aktuaria lainnya atas dasar kepentingan bersama.
