Patinos History
After a decade of working in law firms with locations ranging from London to Cairns and from the northern English industrial town of Warrington to the Capital of the Sunshine State, the firm’s founder and current Principal, Colin Patino, decided it was time to create a new, modern and fresh law firm, free from all of the unnecessary legal jargon and outdated protocol. Focusing on a practical, professional and results driven approach, in 2003, Colin Patino and Company was born in Meadowbrook on Loganlea Road, in a small suburban Shopping Centre, close to Logan Hospital.
The offices were designed to be bright, modern and airy, wheelchair accessible and with access to free parking for clients. There was no buffer for clients to access Solicitors working there. Clients, doctors and insurers were able to speak to solicitors directly without the usual screening by a receptionist.
Cosmetic presentation is one thing, but what about results? Colin Patino and Company quickly made its mark. We strived for the best possible results, irrespective of the reputations of the established legal order.
Fast forward ten years and, still under the direction of Colin Patino, the more things change, the more they stay the same. The firm expanded and opened offices at Oxley, Morningside and Cleveland to service clients from all over South East Queensland. The marketing people suggested a new name – Patinos Personal Lawyers, new colours and new logos to reflect the expansion of the firm now servicing clients on the North, East, West and South of the Southside of Brisbane, in modern, airy, wheelchair accessible offices, all handy to free parking just outside.
