Description
Optical Communication System Laboratory (Opticomm) is one of the transmission laboratories at Telkom University which is engaged in optical communication technology. The Opticomm Laboratory was inaugurated in 1999, and has main activity in terms of organizing practicum for the Optical Communication System course for bachelor students of Telecommunication Engineering at Telkom University.
In addition to practical activities, we also conduct research that focuses on optical wireless communication, such as: Visible Light Communication, Vehicle to Vehicle Communication, Underwater Visible Light Communication, Hybrid Radio Frequency-Visible Light Communication, Free Space Optic, Underground Mining Visible Light Communication, and many more.
Our vision is to become a center in the field of science and communication technology through the tri dharma of higher education. The missions that we have in order to achieve this vision are as follows:
1. Organizing an active and interactive learning process to hone student skills, 2. Develop leading researches based on optical technology, and 3. Carry out community service, especially in the application of optical technology.
