Odyssey House NSW advocates for a world free of addiction.
Odyssey House aims to build safe and healthy communities by minimising the harmful effects of alcohol and other drugs on the person’s health and by extension our society. We have a holistic treatment model that focuses on the person and helping them develop skills to cope with the underlying reasons they resorted to alcohol and other drug use. This often involves changing the habits of a lifetime and teaching self-awareness, responsibility, self-care to practical skills that have been missed due to addiction such as numeracy and literacy, life skills such as cooking and eating healthy food, budgeting and parenting.
The services we offer include;
Odyssey House’s Residential Rehabilitation program is open to anyone suffering from an alcohol and other drug addiction. The program aims to empower individuals and give them the self-confidence to become contributing members of society.
Odyssey House’s free Community Services provide treatment, counselling, education, and aftercare support to those who have been affected by alcohol and other drugs. Our non-residential rehabilitation programs are Sydney-wide and either last between 4-8 weeks, or are ongoing. Each program consists of one 1-3 hour class per week.
Family Support Programs Problems with alcohol and other drugs affects people from all walks of life, including parents with children. Young people and children are particularly vulnerable to the effects of substance misuse in the home or by a parent. Parental substance misuse may interrupt a child’s normal development, which places them at higher risk of behavioural, emotional, physical and mental health problems.
Withdrawal Services Depending on the severity of your withdrawal symptoms, our team will refer you to either our Community Detoxification or Withdrawal Unit Services. You can assess which option is the right one for you by calling us, or inquiring with the form in the bottom left hand corner:
