Selama lebih dari 10 tahun menjalankan misi kemanusiaan di Jalur Gaza, tidaklah mudah bagi pemuda asal Galela, Maluku Utara. Terdapat banyak tantangan maupun rintangan dalam menjalankan amanah dari umat muslim Indonesia. Dan tantangan terbesar itu adalah bagaimana menjaga kepercayaan umat Islam Indonesia.
Abdillah Onim atau yang akrab disapa Bang Onim telah menghibahkan jiwa dan raganya untuk berkontribusi bagi perdamaian dunia.
Nalurinya sebagai Aktivis Kemanusiaan senior mendorongnya untuk terus meningkatkan kinerja dan kapasitas dirinya serta tim untuk bekerja secara konsisten, transparan dan profesional seperti dasar dan prinsip kerja yang dijalankan selama ini.
Maka pada bulan Maret 2018, ide untuk mendirikan lembaga yang bergerak di bidang pendidikan dan kemanusiaan akhirnya tercapai. Lembaga tersebut bernama Nusantara Palestina Center (NPC)
