'Nup to the Cup' events are now being held around the country to celebrate animals – not exploit them. And you can be part of it no matter where you are.
OUR VISION
Melbourne Cup Day has traditionally been a fun day where Australians from all walks of life get together with friends, have a few drinks and a bet on the races.
It’s now time to turn it on its head!
It is our vision to keep having fun, in fact as much as possible. But, instead of supporting an industry that exploits the animals it relies upon to exist, let it be a day we celebrate animals and say ‘Nup to the Cup!
We’re asking people who really care about animals to use this day to remember and respect the important role that all animals play in our world. You could host your own 'Nup to the Cup' event and, if you're up for it, raise much needed funds for one of the many organisations who are doing fabulous work being a voice for animals.
Our website is full of useful tips on hosting your own event. If public, you can even register it with us so we can help you promote the occasion. Or, let someone else do the work and just go along. Our website also lists all the 'Nup to the Cup' events being held near you.
