Legal Aid NT is an independent statutory body established to enable access to legal information, referral, education, support and assistance.

Our services are for all Territorians but particularly to those most vulnerable due to disadvantage or other factors e.g. people who are unable to afford legal services.

We usually only help people with cases in the Northern Territory, but we can help people apply for aid in another State or Territory.

Call 1 800 019 343 (toll free) and an operator will help with any initial inquiries you may have about your problem. They can send you written information to help you understand your situation, help you work out what to do next and tell you the best place to go if you need further assistance.
