Description
NACAS specialises in complex drone operations and flight testing. This includes: Delivering freight, undertaking surveillance, or remote sensing operations beyond the visual line of sight (BVLOS) of the pilot. We have a large engineering workshop, and a 4000 hectare flight test range.
Based at Charles Darwin University in Darwin, the North Australia Centre for Autonomous Systems (NACAS) conducts integrated industry-focused research into the application of drones (RPAS or UAV) across industries, businesses, and other sectors in northern Australia and the Asia Pacific regions.
Our aim is to assist the Northern Territory Government, local industries, and businesses to facilitate and support workforce transformation in north Australia while attracting national and international investment into research innovation.
