My Mind Check was founded in research undertaken at Macquarie University’s Lifespan Health and Wellbeing Research Centre. To stay connected, please follow the Centre on LinkedIn and register to receive the newsletter for updates on mental health research, training and services, including services for students and schools.
My Mind Check was a free, evidence-based digital check-in platform, that empowered schools and educators to take a proactive approach to student wellbeing and mental health.
My Mind Check was funded by the Australian Government Department of Education since 2023, enabling us to provide this free digital mental health platform to schools across Australia. However, that funding ran out in late 2025, and as such, operations ceased on 19 December 2025.
My Mind Check successfully demonstrated the value of early intervention in student mental health. More than 200 schools and 20,000+ students across all states and territories, and education sectors, benefit from evidence-based and proactive mental health insights.
My Mind Check gave educators the confidence to identify wellbeing needs early and connect students with the right information and support, ensuring no student slips through the cracks. Through brief 10-15-minute supervised check-ins, schools gained immediate insights into students’ mental health needs and wellbeing strengths, along with practical follow-up resources that assist staff and teachers to respond as needed.
