Based at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS), Australia’s premier Pharmaceutical Sciences hub and ranked #2 in the world for research in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, mRNA Core is one of Australia’s leading mRNA production groups since 2017. The initiative provides >20 active research collaborators and commercial clients with bespoke native, chemically modified and formulated mRNA and expertise towards proof-of-concept preclinical studies across diverse applications. Funded currently by an MRFF mRNA Clinical Trials Enabling Grant and by NCRIS, as one of the four national nodes of the RNA Products division of Therapeutic Innovation Australia (TIA), mRNA Core is led by the research team that developed Australia’s first mRNA clinical product (an mRNA vaccine against COVID-19) and employs an innovative team of staff with deep understanding of pharmaceutical development. Utilising cutting edge specialised equipment for mRNA formulation and supported by extensive analytical infrastructure at MIPS, mRNA Core is perfectly designed to advance the next generation of mRNA.
