Description
MoWaNa Northern Beaches Safe Space is a non-clinical drop in style place available to anybody who is feeling anxious, distressed, suicidal, lonely, overwhelmed, scared and / or depressed. Our volunteers have lived experience and have been trained to help you in your time of need. We will welcome you, hold space for you, listen and NOT judge you. We will assist in finding warm connections to other appropriate and reliable supports if that’s what you need. We have a trauma informed No wrong Door approach. All is confidential and can be anonymous if you prefer. You are welcome to come back time and time again.
We hope to be open 24/7 in the future and that will depend on raising more funds to cover the costs of doing so. Currently you can drop in on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights between 5 and 9pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings 8.30 to 11.00am for Coffee with Kindness , LGBQTIA+ community Safe Space 2nd Tuesday each month 6-8pm at The Mind Cafe, 1346 Pittwater Road, Narrabeen.
