MORESCO 1 pioneered the Philippines' rural electrification program in 1968. It is administered and regulated by the National Electrification Administration (NEA) and Energy Regulatory Committee (ERC) to ensure provision of quality power provision to the Western part of Misamis Oriental.
MORESCO 1 is not just merely a power provider, it is conscious in expanding its services in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs with the following 4Es: •Environment •Education and Health •Economic Empowerment •Entertainment
MORESCO 1 is imbued with a culture of service as its primary source to always be competitive in this growing market, thus, making an effort to be at par with international standards. It was duly recognized by Investors In People or IIP (UK based accrediting body) bearing the Gold Level. It is also the first and only Electric Cooperative in the Philippines to be accredited with ISO QMS. In addition, MORESCO-1 is also 100% compliant to the Philippine Distribution Code.
With its present member-consumers reaching to more than 80,000+, MORESCO 1 assures sustainability of service by continually upgrading its technical facilities as it gears toward its mission as “world class power provider of choice”. Currently, MORESCO-1 is installing the N-1 project from Manticao to Talakag, Bukidnon, a power transmission highway that traverses the coastline complimenting the old transmission line traversing the highlands, with the aim of achieving power reliability and availability 24/7.
