Maternal and Infant Wellbeing Melbourne (MIWM) is a first-of-its-kind multidisciplinary clinic delivering integrated, evidence-based care for women and children, with a strong focus on the perinatal period. Based in Parkville, our multidisciplinary team brings general practice, perinatal psychiatry and psychology, paediatrics, breastfeeding medicine, physiotherapy, osteopathy, dietetics, and therapeutic massage together under one roof. We coordinate care so families don’t have to, combining clinical excellence with a warm, nurturing environment designed for calm and confidence.
Our flagship Mother–Baby Day Stay programs provide focused support for breastfeeding, sleep and settling, and postnatal mental wellbeing in a purpose-built setting. Families also benefit from coordinated GP and paediatric care and an elevated Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT) experience designed for comfort, education, and continuity. The result is earlier establishment of breastfeeding, practical solutions for feeding and sleep challenges, timely mental health support, and fewer avoidable emergency presentations and readmissions. Care starts in pregnancy and continues well beyond birth, so parents feel informed, supported, and empowered.
MIWM is RACGP-accredited and an RACGP training facility (2024). We were State Finalists in the Telstra Small Business Awards (2024) and recipients of a City of Melbourne Small Business Grant (2025). Since opening, we’ve supported thousands of Melbourne families and collaborate with leading obstetric groups, private hospitals, and insurers to create seamless postnatal pathways and value-based care models. Our day-stay option offers a safe, supportive alternative to hospital for common postnatal challenges—improving outcomes while freeing inpatient capacity.
If you’re a hospital, insurer, employer, or health professional seeking an innovative perinatal partner—or a parent looking for compassionate, expert care—we’d love to connect
