Mitre 10 New Zealand is part of a long-standing tradition that began with the establishment of Mitre 10 Australia in 1959. Since its inception, the Mitre 10 brand has grown and evolved to become one of the leading home improvement and hardware retailers in the Australasian region. Our journey in New Zealand started in 1974 when Fletchers and MWS (Molten Wholesale Supplies) merged to form what we now know as Mitre 10 New Zealand.
Today, we are proudly 100% New Zealand owned and operated. Our cooperative structure means that our store owners are local businesspeople who are deeply embedded in their communities.
