Metrod is a leading manufacturer of Oxygen Free & ETP Copper rod, wire & strip in Malaysia. Metrod started its operation in 1981 and was promoted by Late Lord Bagri, erstwhile Chairman of London Metal Exchange.
Metrod is one of the rare companies in the world to have three leading technologies under one roof, i.e. SCR Process, Dipform process and Upcast process, to make high quality copper wire rod. It further processes copper rod to produce round & rectangular wires to meet wider needs of the industry.
Since its inception in 1981 as an independent copper fabrication plant, it has been a successful journey for Metrod. During this journey, it has built an enviable reputation of providing excellent products & reliable services, and building partnerships that extend beyond decades.
Metrod has an excellent track record in delivering satisfactory returns to its shareholders year after year since its inception weathering the challenges of Asian financial crisis in 1997, recurrent metal market volatility and global recession as recent as during 2009.
