Description

Melbourne Bushfood started as an idea after a university project by 21-year-old Hayden Marks, and has since grown into one of the largest online communities of bushfood. Our mission has been to connect the produce harvested by Indigenous Communities, Wild Harvesters, and Small Farmers, into easy to consume products like chocolate that introduce the rich stories and flavours of the continent.

Our work not only promotes a richer understanding of Australia’s diverse Indigenous heritage, but gives opportunities to communities to harness their land and cultural assets in a way that has benefits that trickle right down to the individual harvester out on country.

We’re a group of young, driven, and social-minded individuals who believe native Australian bushfood answers the urgent issues of Australia’s past and our future ability to adapt to the challenges of climate change.
