Được thành lập từ tháng 5 năm 2000 bởi Ngân hàng TMCP Quân đội (MB) với tên gọi tiền thân là Công ty CP chứng khoán Thăng Long, Công ty CP Chứng khoán MB (MBS) là một trong 6 công ty chứng khoán đầu tiên tại Việt Nam. Sau nhiều năm phát triển, MBS đã trở thành một trong những công ty chứng khoán hàng đầu Việt Nam, liên tục đứng trong Top 10 thị phần tại cả hai Sở Giao dịch (Hồ Chí Minh và Hà Nội).
Với thế mạnh là công ty thành viên của Tập đoàn MB, MBS liên tục vươn lên đạt các mốc phát triển mới cả về quy mô và nghiệp vụ.
