Description
Mannifera is a collective of Australian funders backing civil society organisations advocating for the systems change we need to strengthen our democracy and build an economy that works for everyone.
Our vision is of a more complete democracy and an economy with fairness at its heart, protected by a robust and vibrant civil society sector.
Since our inception in 2019, we’ve grown to 24 members and have delivered over $3.5 million in grants to 50 civil society and First Nations-led organisations. We’ve also convened over 70 events, helping to foster shared learning and build a more connected civil society and philanthropic movement.
As a collective we are committed to listening to and learning from First Nations perspectives on the state of our democracy and economy, and we have worked to build a First Nations-led approach into our practice by having First Nations advisors guide our granting to First Nations-led solutions.
