Manaaki Rangatahi is a mokopuna-focused, systems change rōpū. We work alongside housing providers and youth services across the motu, using kotahitanga and collective impact to bring awareness to youth homelessness.
Our calls to action are:
1. Right to Housing: Enshrine the right to housing by enacting legislation 2. Government Policy: Prohibit government agencies from releasing youth into homelessness 3. Prevention strategy: Develop a comprehensive strategy to prevent/end youth homelessness 4. Data Collection: Collect Data on the Size and Scope of Youth Homelessness in Aotearoa 5. Commission Research: Commission Research into the Effects of Youth Homelessness on Adult Homelessness 6. Upskilling: Invest in upscaling and upskilling youth housing/homelessness services
