A non-profit organization which has been in existence since 1964 and has been recognized as a strong advocate for improving public health through research in Malaysia and in the region.

Our objectives are

  • To Promote Research and Education for the Advancement of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine
  • To Disseminate Information on Parasitology and Tropical Medicine with Particular Reference to the Malaysian Region

What we do The Society's main activities are concentrated in organizing a yearly scientific seminar with a different theme each year revolving around current issues in Tropical Diseases and Public Health. This scientific seminar serves as a platform for the scientists to present their research findings.

The society also holds a midyear seminar where key speakers are invited to talk on current topics of Medical Importance.
