Description
The Macquarie University Peer Mentors Program is a peer support program that runs each session to assist the transition of first-year students into Macquarie University. Our Peer Mentors have been helping students for over 20 years to meet people, expand their networks and get the most out of their time at university!
Peer Mentors are student volunteers who have completed at least one session at Macquarie. Think of them as your go-to guide throughout the first session of your studies. They’ll be there to respond to any of your questions or concerns about navigating university and keep you in the loop with just-in-time information so you can succeed in the learning, professional and social dimensions of uni life.
Our program will help you connect with like-minded students and the broader MQ community through our peer-led social events. The community mentoring phase of our program also provides you with the opportunity to reach out to other Peer Mentors for assistance and to engage with others who are also in the first year of their degree!
We can’t wait to assist you as you begin your journey at Macquarie University.
